weeks 1, 2, and 3 update!!

CURRENT

I am 3 weeks into my training phase and there is SO much to share! Tremendous amounts of knowledge and anointed teaching has been delivered to us. Many of the students lives and the futures of the nations have been completely changed forever by the restoring power of Jesus’ love.

A TESTIMONY

My arrival day was October 2nd and this time of change, while fruitful and growing, has been challenging. It was hard for me to adjust to a whole new atmosphere. Groups formed very quickly and the lie of comparison had a deeper root in me than I thought. As the first three days passed, I realized there was something that had hold of my mind and my perspective. I was really filtering how I acted through the lens’s of others. The lies of comparison, self hatred, and idolization were surfacing!

During the first ministry night, Jesus kindly revealed what was going on in my heart to me. His true love and original design for me pierced all of the lies and broke off all of the bondage of the fleshly lies I was coming into agreement with. I learned to repent, receive, rebuke, and replace!!! Jesus is the true Deliverer and I am in awe of how personal and intentional He is with the people He literally formed and crafted. I learned how to surrender my friends and community to Him and He literally dropped people on our room doorstep, I now have a great outward facing circle of girls and leaders who are championing each-other. It’s beautiful to watch women build each other up without competition. My leadership and staff carry the character of Jesus and have such kindness in their eyes. They truly wash others feet with joy.

CLASSES

The first week, our speaker was Andy Byrd, a true friend of God. He spoke on understanding the whole Gospel and how Jesus is pursuing radical intimacy with us.

A couple of Andy’s points were that

  1. There is an epidemic in western culture of shallow christianity and apathy due to a number of things.

  2. Jesus gave people, finite and fallen, full permission to become like Him.

  3. Apathetic and nominal christianity actually can stem from insecurity, fear, and embarrassment. I didn’t even realize that. It also can mean that we have simply not encountered God’s love for us. It could mean that we’ve tried to “beat ourselves” into christianity and may have had the mindset of “go clean up” and then we can talk to Jesus.

  4. We might be equating our earthly father’s brokenness and qualities with God.  We might be believing the lie that He’s an angry distant God.

  5. The enemy is the accuser of the brethren.

  6. The real truth is that our Creator wants true love and friendship with us. Jesus genuinely ran to the cross to reconcile us before we even knew Him. He reconciled man by becoming fully man.

  7. Romans 5:8-9 says “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

  8. Christianity doesn’t start with us loving God but it begins with the revelation of Jesus loving us.

  9. Once we receive what Jesus did for us, we are clean before our Lord. He doesn’t see our sin and we are now a new creation. There is a DNA transfer. Ezekiel 26:36 “And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”

  10. He will never stop chasing your heart. He saw you and is joyfully pursuing you.

We also had a speaker named Peter Louis from UPPER-ROOM.

A very quick few points that he taught were :

  1. Jesus’ will for the church. To build up the Body of Christ, and equip the saints. The purpose of church leadership. Ephesians 4. What connects us as the body is the common ministry of reconciling lost people and found to God. Building up people not ministries. That numbers aren’t bad but if the numbers don’t look like Christ or if they’re not growing then that can be bad.

  2. Walking in the Spirit.

  3. Discipleship is looking like Jesus.

  4. Walking in love.

Here are the recordings of him at our school!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!!

Last week, we all received our outreach locations! IT WAS WILDNESS. There was so much excitement.

Here is a video I made from that day.

I AM GOING TO PAPUA NEW GUINEA!!!!! 🇵🇬 In mid December, I and 12 other people will head there. Our main goal is discipleship and relationships with the people of Papua New Guinea. They are warm - cultured and welcoming. They are relational. We will be ministering to them, really showing them what it looks like to follow Jesus in THEIR culture, and ultimately getting to know their hearts!

I have two leaders, Ronan and Aio! Ronan led to the Peruvian jungle last year and Aio did her DTS in the middle east! They are the embodiment of trustworthiness and kindness, I can’t wait to go this journey with them! They both made the point that our goal is not to force a “western religion” but to be the example and love of Jesus. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

FUNDING

I am still fundraising for outreach! I actually have $1,200 due in 7 days! I am fully trusting Jesus.
